Katy has loved art her whole life. Her love of art has taken her around the world, including studying in Cortona, Italy, Bhutan and South Africa culminating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Georgia in Sculpture. Katy has exhibited in juried exhibitions and gallery festivals across the Southeast. Her work is represented in private collections and a public commission at the University of Georgia Law Library. Katy specializes in the human figure with installation and sculpture to explore concepts of people overcoming obstacles. As the current Muéo Studio Director, Katy organizes free open studio hours, private access to studio space, public art functions and classes. With a motto of living truthfully, Katy hopes to forge relationships in this growing art community to share truth through art.
“It is my hope that The Muéo Arts Studio serves as an invitation to you if you want to be included in something creative. My journey expressing truth through art depends upon having someone to listen. I need people around me for inspiration and critique. I need a place for expression where I will be welcomed even stumbling with mistakes. Do you? Let’s build a community of creative people.”
