jason giger (dean)

Jason Giger has always shown a passion for the Arts; heavily influenced by his father, a retired college music professor, Doctor of Sacred Choral Music, and accomplished conductor. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, and living throughout the mid-west, Jason grew up exploring and thriving in the study of music, drama, graphic art, and poetry. Jason began his college career at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana studying classical guitar under the direction of Jamie Johnson. Mesmerized by the wide variety of intriguing liberal arts disciplines available, Jason spent almost 10 years completing his undergraduate degree. In that time Jason studied music, drama, visual art, psychology, philosophy, & communications. In 2001, Jason decided to take his near 200 college credit hours, that as a whole didn't yet amount to any one degree, to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and graduate with a BM in Classical Guitar Performance with a minor in Ancient Greek Philosophy. Jason has been teaching and performing classical guitar for over a decade throughout the mid-west and greater Atlanta area. In 2002 Jason created his own private guitar instruction company, Guitar-TEC (the Guitar Talent Education Center) influenced by the Suzuki Method and other early-childhood music education principles. In the fall of 2005, Jason became the Director of Worship at Church of the Redeemer - Atlanta (PCA). Two years later at Redeemer, he accepted the role of Director of Arts in which he founded the Muéo Arts Community, serving as it's Executive Director and Dean of the Muéo Academy.
