Daniel Clay began voraciously consuming music of many and varied idioms at age thirteen while simultaneously beginning his study of the steel-string guitar. Continued personal study since adolescence, the inspiration of private teachers (including Thomas Yackley and his AP music theory class at Milton High School), his formal musical education at Georgia State University, and ten years of professional performance experience have informed his holistic understanding of music and the guitar. Daniel performs, composes, and teaches many styles of contemporary music including, jazz, rock, blues, folk, pop, finger-style, and avant-garde. Hear Daniel's music at: www.danielclaymusic.com. It is his pleasure to guide students of all levels of experience toward musical literacy and facility on their instrument, while enabling them to develop a deep and eclectic appreciation of music and it's place in the arts.
