This beginning drawing course is designed for elementary-age students.  We will explore the foundational principles of classical realism.  Students will learn through contour drawing exercises, spacial recognition exercises, still-life drawing, and modeling light/shadow.  The focus of this course is learning to  see, because this is the most fundamental principle in learning how to draw.  Students will work with pencil and vine charcoal on Canson paper (supplies provided by the teacher).  Course cost is $60 monthly (for three consecutive months), and there is a $10 supply fee per semester. Class size is limited to six.
