This is a 10-week class designed for those 13 years of age and older. Students will learn the fundamentals of accompaniment style acoustic guitar playing. No prior musical experience is required. The course begins with learning the names and functions of each part of the guitar and progresses to first position chord and note playing while learning basic music theory necessary to the instrument. Students successfully complete the class with the skills necessary to play a wide variety of simple chord songs using a variety of strumming and finger picking patterns. This is a perfect primer course to maximize the effectiveness of future private guitar lessons.

*Though all of our faculty are indepent instructors who establish and collect their own class fees, all students must register with the Muéo Academy for an annual administrative fee of $45 per student (or family) payable directly to Muéo Arts Academy. Registration forms can be obtained through your instructor and should be filled out and returned with the administration fee payment on or before the first scheduled class.
