A 12 week class combining the elements of creative dance and pre-ballet to lay the groundwork for future dance training. In pre-ballet the teacher uses movement and music to develop physical skills, explore imagination and expression, enhance musicality, instill an appreciation for shape and form, and to expand the student’s ability to follow commands and work with others. In addition, students will be exposed to French dance vocabulary and concepts specific to classical ballet. The class will consist of a warm-up period which includes stretching, bending, shaking and body-part isolation, center dance using non-locomotor movement in the form of structured ballet combinations and a traveling or locomotor sequence exploring presentational walking, the chassé, skipping, hopping and leaping.

*Though all of our faculty are indepent instructors who establish and collect their own class fees, all students must register with the Muéo Academy for an annual administrative fee of $45 per student (or family) payable directly to Muéo Arts Academy. Registration forms can be obtained through your instructor and should be filled out and returned with the administration fee payment on or before the first scheduled class.
